Florida Apostille Services

An apostille is a certification issued by the Department of State to validate a document for use abroad. In the United States, apostilles are issued by individual States unless they are federal documents. 

Common State issued documents include Birth Certificates, Death Certificates, Marriage Certificates, Divorce Certificates, Translations, State background Checks.

All apostilles in Florida are issued by the Florida Department of State in Tallahassee. We offer the apostille service to help expedite and simplify the process for individuals that require a Florida Apostille.


The Apostille Process

Apostille for original notarized documents

Before proceding with the apostille process, you must have your document notarized. The document can be in a foreign language, but the notarization must be in English and it must be a full notarial statement. Please view our acceptable document guide to ensure that your document is correcly notarized. 


You can also complete the notarization online with a RON Florida Notary Public. Florida Translate offers remote online notarization powered through BlueNotary. You can select the remote notary option when checking out. 


Alternatively, you can complete the notarization in person. Most banks will offer free in-person notarizations for clients. UPS/Amscot/USPS also offer in-person notarization services. If you opt for the in-person notarization you must send the original documents to us.  We will provide you with a complimentary pre-paid shipping label after your order has been submited. You may drop off the original document with the label provided at the nearest UPS Store or pick up location. 


After we receive the document, it will be processed by our office. The process takes 72 business hours with the expedited processing, or 1-2 weeks with the regular processing. 

Apostille for translation in any language.

We only require a scanned version of the original document in order to process the translation and apostille. We will notarized the translation once it's ready and ship all original files to your address. 


We do not need the original documents to complete the apostille process for translations.


The translation will include the certification, notarial statement,  apostille and shipping. We are able to send documents internationally through UPS. 

Birth Certificate, Death Certificate, Marriage License, Court Documents, etc...

In order to process the apostille for an original document, you must send the original document to our office. Please review our acceptable documents guide to ensure that your document meets the requirement for an apostille. 


After the order is submited, we will provide you with a complimentary pre-paid shipping label. 


After receiving the label, you must drop it off at the nearest FedEx or UPS Store or pick up location. 


Once we receive the document, the apostille will be processed and delivered directly to your address along with your original document. The processing time is 72 business hours with the expedited processing or 1-2 weeks with the regular processing.

Apostille

Your documents will be submitted to the Florida Department of State for the apostille process. This will take 72 business hours to process.

Send Originals

In most cases we will need the original documents to be sent to our office. We will provide you with a pre-paid shipping label and instructions on how to drop off the documents.

Delivery

The original documents with the apostille will be physically sent directly to your address for either overnight or 2 day delivery.

  • How long does the process take?

    We offer two types of processing:


    - The Expedited Processing takes 72 hour business hours.

    - The Regular Proceesing takes 1-2 weeks to process. 


    If your order requires the original document, the processing time will start counting from the time we receive the original document at our office. 

  • Is my document valid for an apostille?

    Documents must be either notarized or certified by the state in the case of original government issued documents. You can view our acceptable documents guide here

  • Will this work for the embassy/consulate process?

    Yes, apostilles are generally issued on a state level by the Secretary of State of each state. If you document was  issued in Florida, translated by our agency, or notarized in Florida, it will be valid to use abroad with the apostille. 


    The purpose of the apostille is to validate documents for use abroad  in accordance with The Hague Convention. 

  • Do I need to translate my documents?

    Most countries will not accept documents that are not in the local language. This is why we encourage that a translation is completed.  


    This allows the option to do the original apostille and/or the translation apostille of the same document. 

  • What type of payment methods do you accept?

    We accept credit card, debit cards, Zelle, and PayPal. 

  • Do you offer services in other states?

    We are only able to apostille documents from Florida. Translations, however, can be apostilled for any type of document regardlress of state. The apostille, however, will be issued from Florida and can then be used abroad. 


    If you need the apostille of an original document or a document notarized outside of Florida, we will not be able to process your apostille. 

  • How/where do you ship?

    All of our documents are shipped with UPS and FedEx. We offer UPS Ground, Next Day Air, FedEx 2 Day, as shipping options that can be applied during checkout.


    We also offer afordable international shipping to nearly every country via UPS Worldwide. 


    You may to obtain a quote for shipping when entering your address during checkout. 

  • How can I ship my documents to your office?

    We will provide you a pre-paid complimentary shipping label that you can use to ship the documents to our office. 


    There is no additional charge for this process. You may use your own shipping service as well if you would like to do so.
