Bring your ORI and ID
Obtain the ORI from the requesting agency or your application instructions, and bring a valid government-issued photo ID.
Fingerprinting for Florida employment, professional licensing, and healthcare screening. We capture your prints by Live Scan in about 15 minutes, submit them electronically to FDLE under your agency's ORI, and give you the Transaction Control Number (TCN) as proof of submission.
Includes state fees
A Florida employer, licensing board, state agency, or other requesting organization may require a fingerprint-based Level 2 background screening. We capture and submit the fingerprints that screening runs on. If you were given an ORI, this is generally the service you need.
In Orlando, we capture your fingerprints electronically using Live Scan. Outside Florida, eligible applicants can have two FD-258 cards completed locally and mail them to us for electronic FDLE submission.
Your fingerprints are submitted electronically to FDLE using the ORI provided by your requesting agency, allowing FDLE and, when applicable, the FBI to complete the required Level 2 background screening. That ORI identifies the correct workflow, where results are sent, and the state fees that apply.
Florida Translate is a registered Live Scan vendor with FDLE and participates in the Clearinghouse. When the applicable workflow requires a photograph, we can take it during your in-person visit.
